Dedications from former CCKSians

From Benjamin Lim; Graduating Batch of 2008
I missed those school days in CCKSS, especially Miss Alicia Tan's Additional Mathematics and Elementary Mathematics lessons. Last time, I always complained about them as I have to stay back beyond 5pm. I hated them so much back then. But now, deep in my heart, I missed them very much; those days when my class 4/3(pure boys class), and Miss Tan spent together during the two years from 2007-2008. Miss Alicia Tan is one of the best teacher I ever met. She always encouraged me (us) when we did badly for tests and exams.  My Additonal Mathematics was in the pits but thanks to her undying will and patience, I achieved an A2 of the O levels and an A1 for Elementary Mathematics.  I appreciate her very much. Thanks Miss Alicia Tan. I owe part of my achievements to you.

I also missed my Humanities lessons with Mr Tan Wee Liat and Mrs Tang. They are both good and nice teachers who go the extra mile just for the students to score well and nurture them into good and useful citizens.

Ken Ng from Class 4/5; Graduating Batch of 2007
One of the teachers that I respected the most is Mr Kong. Although he has never taught me in any academic subjects except for P.E. lessons, his way of teaching is inspiring. Not only does he teaches skills, but also impart values and morals to students.
I would also like to thank some other teachers like my lower secondary class form teacher, Mrs Lua for her guidance; Mdm Prema who, even though was pregnant before the O level period, never failed to teach us and guide us!  Last but not least, I would also like to express my gratitude to Mdm Lim, the CCA teacher in charge of the Chinese Orchestra.  Thank you for your guidance throughout my 4 years in the Chinese Orchestra. Thank you teachers!

Through my CCA Chinese Orchestra, I've found my passion for Music. I'm currently studying Diploma In Music and Audio Technology in Singapore Polytechnic and I must say passion and hard work must come hand in hand in order to do well.

Finally, I would also like to thank my principal, Miss Sim.  Thank you for your dedication to this school and making it one of the top 50 secondary schools in Singapore! Hope you'll have a good retirement!

Shangying; Graduating Batch of  2006
Mr Lim, our OM back then is definitely someone worth mentioning. I’m sure my batch remembers the days when he would walk around stopping us from bringing our bottled drinks to class. Sometimes, students would even run upon seeing him from a distance.

The leadership opportunities that our teachers gave us during our secondary life were indeed vital for my growth as a person. I am able to communicate well with people as the leadership positions I once held had groom me to be more confident. This communication skill has proven its usefulness in the current school that I am studying at, NBS.

Our principal, Miss Sim has been with CCKSS for more than 10 years and her contributions cannot be summarized with a few sentences. I am very thankful for all the initiatives she has introduced as a principal and her efforts in trying to bring CCKSS to greater heights. I am sure all alumni and current CCKSians will definitely remember her contributions to CCKSS.
